Discussions continue whilst achievements are celebrated
The TCC Foundation continues to have discussions with several organisations about the possibility of some aspects of the TCC's work being revived elsewhere after the Centre is closed by the University of Southampton on 31st October 2009.
Whilst continuing to make every effort to secure a future for the Centre's work, the Foundation's Trustees felt it would be very appropriate also to celebrate the TCC's huge achievements over the past 34 years. The Foundation therefore held a reception in London in June 2009, in the presence of our Patron, HRH The Princess Royal. The Clothworkers' Company (the TCC's most important supporter for all of the 34 years) generously allowed the Foundation to hold the reception in the Clothworkers' Hall. It was a memorable evening, as can be seen from the selection of images shown here. The speech by the Chairman of the TCC Foundation, The Marquess of Douro, is also attached here.
