MA Museum and Galleries Dissertation Abstracts
The Dissertation unit closed the end of the MA Museums & Galleries programme and gave students the opportunity to explore a subject in depth.
The unit focussed on enabling students to develop an understanding of research methodology and practice so that they could undertake a research project on a topic chosen with the support and approval of their MA Convenor and Course Team and agreed with the External Examiner. Students presented their research work in progress at a seminar in Semester II. This allowed students to test out ideas and get feedback from their colleagues. This research work was then developed into a Dissertation, supported by an individual supervisor.
